That's extremely impressing and even scaring... didn't know they were that fast! Those islands are a dangerous place to take a walk, no mistake...

Christ those things can move! I had no idea of there speed. Komodos are absolutely fascinating, they are absolute overkill.

The music killed me lol

"Here let me play some soothing opera while a deer gets gutted alive, one party has to enjoy the experience no?"

I don't want to sound as if I liked to see deer being gutted, but I really love that video. It demostrates both how fast and explosive Komodo dragons can be, as well as how terribly effective their bite is.

What an incredible reptile Dragons are. Their surprising power and explosiveness always facinated me. If I had the chance to own one of these wonderful monitor lizards I would cut off an arm and a leg to do so! (Though the ones I own aren't half bad either.. ;) ) I shame I wasn't able to work with these beautiful lizards while I was working at the Toronto Zoo. I was allowed to go near 'em on a few occassions and was even asked by a fellow employee if I would like to touch one, so I guess I can't complain really.
Just an amazing animal and hopefully I'll get the chance to watch them and observe them in their natural enviroment.

The dragon in the video is quite slim to be honest, but impressive feat.

Cool video.
I'm 100% sure the deer was already bitten previously, hence the diminished reflexes and speed. Probably bitten by the same dragon in an ambush.

Don't you just love listening to opera while watching a giant lizard rip a deers guts out? Ahh nature.
