Poor puppy rushed in a playful manner. You can clearly see that he wasn't even trying to bite that darn cat. Had that been some cat-aggressive working terrier, the cat would be lucky if getting out of it alive Edited by Sam1, May 13 2013, 06:02 PM.

There is evidence that suggests otherwise. Of course the dog wasn't a puppy and it won't be posted here... |

Oh really and it was the same weight as a cat? And the fact it has be be a working terrier to stand a chance against a random house pet speaks volumes for the cat. Edited by FelinePowah, May 13 2013, 11:28 PM.

A terrier dosen't need to be working to have a chance against a cat. |

Oh gosh does everyone here have to downplay the cat? Can we all just accept the fact that this cat has done preformed well beyond the typical capabilities of it's species? I think we should all have a moment of silence and bask in the limelight of this feline. Certainly it has proven to us that some cats go well beyond our expectations. But to go along with everyone...yes a house pet terrier fifi can kill a domestic cat. A working terrier vs a cat is not even a fight, it is just an inevitable slaughter. If anything going to the vets would put more stress on a little terrier than it would experience killing a cat. |

Why is this being termed a ‘scrap’? The only thing of note is the cats sustained attempt to not really catch the dog. I’ve heard on good authority from sh!tbags who’ve actively unleashed their dogs on cats, the difference between a committed dog and one that isn’t, is the committed dog will attack head on. An uncommitted dog will have the uncanny ability to chase but stay exactly one step behind the cat. Terriers in all forms can/do kill housecats. Always have, always will. |

Only toy breeds regulary overlap in size with cats. The mass of cats is greatly exaggerated because the vast majority are fat pets. In a feral cat colony typical individuals weigh between 2-4.5kg, only the occasional huge male exceeds this and is often the dominant male carrying a bit of excess fat. People always assume that cats frequently reach the size small dogs of jack russell terriers when in reality they are considerably smaller. |

Again small cat size terriers do not go around killing cats |
