The Jaegers should win fairly easily.

The Jaegers should win fairly easily.
how? clover was 350 feet tall, 1,200 feet long and weighed 5,806 metric tons. he just weighs under 3 times as much as gispey danger and is 90 feet taller. he is just under 2 times as much and 70 feet taller than cherno alpha aswell.

But he has either zero or very very little fighting experience, is very ungainly, and doesn't really have any method of hurting either of them.

that size comparison is very inacurate, I have seen that on some many fourms it is inacurate

he literally destroyed new york city, the ENTIRE city. cloverfield also have very powerful front limbs and a powerful bite. those jaegers got there ass handed to them by kaijus not even half the size of clover.

The city didn't really seem that damaged until after the nuke.

also clover survived the the nuke which was called the 'hammerdown', after the end credits you can hear 'help us' very distortedly and it sounds like its being played backwards. if you play it backwards you hear very clearly 'its still alive'.

The Kaiju in Pacific Rim destroyed MULTIPLE cities before they where beaten by tanks, planes and nukes. If we judge power and experience with how much they destroy, the Kaiju in Pacific Rim are more powerful and experienced than Clover.

clover less experienced because its a new born baby, also that kaiju destroyed multiple cities in weeks while clover destroyed the city in a matter of hours. also as I said clover is several times bigger than that kaiju. also they did not use nukes on the original kaiju, they never used nukes in pacific rim except for the ending.

No, they hit Trespasser and just about every kaiju up until the first Jaegers were built with three nukes. The nuking of Trespasser is seen in the Tales From Year Zero graphic novel. Clover didn't survive the nuke. J.J. Abrams has said multiple times that it didn't live, so I'm taking Word of God over in-film easter eggs. As I already said Clover didn't really damage the city that much. The Jaegers are used to fighting far more dangerous and experienced foes and Gipsy has a ranged weapon which, as far as we can tell, should be fully capable of blowing holes in Clover.

Fuck pacific rim was shit though. How did they cram that many cliches into a single film? If it had been an appropriately violent movie with less of that human interaction bullshit it would have been alright.

Personally I loved it. Most of the cliches were intentional. It was a callback to the cliche-ridden Kaiju films of the 50's-70's.

My problem with it though was the sheer lack of urgency toward the situation. Mankind was facing extinction and the focus of the film was on the relationship of about 4 people. It ruined the movie for me frankly. You could see everything coming a mile off. I was expecting a visceral summer blockbuster, not a movie that felt like it was made by Nickelodeon for its usual target audience.
